Protein and fullness: planning satisfying meals that fit your day

3 practical ways to adjust your meals
- Start with the meal after which you often feel hungry — If you are usually hungry in the afternoon, try including tofu, beans, fish or lean meat at lunch, then observe fullness until the next meal.
- Adjust one meal at a time — for about a week, note your meals, hunger and snack cravings to see what suits you, without expecting results on a fixed timeline.
- Track fullness and sleep separately — notice how hungry or full you feel between meals, and keep a separate note of sleep quality, as food and rest are affected by different factors.
Keeping a record helps you observe your own habits. A change in sweet cravings does not prove that protein alone caused it. Read more about Daily protein intake and Plant and animal protein to make meals more varied

Assess fullness and sleep separately
You may have heard of tryptophan, an amino acid—a building block of protein—that has been studied in relation to sleep. However, research on taking tryptophan supplements specifically is different from research on increasing protein in meals.
A review in Nutrition Reviews did not find a clear overall effect of increasing protein on better sleep. If your goal is comfortably filling meals, start by tracking hunger during the day.

Pro Cap: convenience from a rice and grain formula
On busy days, convenience makes routines easier. For those interested in rice-and-grain formulas, Pro Cap by GENISÉ comes in capsules with no mixing needed.
- Know the formula — Brown rice, jasmine rice, glutinous rice, corn and soybeans, according to the formula documentation.
- ALS protein analysis — the report records 56.6 grams of protein per 100 grams of the submitted Pro Cap sample. This figure is per 100 grams, not per capsule.
- Easy to take and carry — no shaker or measuring spoon needed. Keep the capsules in their original packaging and take after meals as directed on the label.
The fullness evidence above concerns dietary protein, not tests showing that Pro Cap reduces hunger or replaces main meals. See Pro Cap protein analysis to support your choice
